Join our mission-driven organization and contribute meaningfully to the patient experience.</p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>The Patient Scheduling Coordinator plays a critical role in coordinating patient appointments, ensuring accuracy in registration, and assisting with insurance verification and referral processes. This role demands exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Greet patients and representatives in a professional and welcoming manner</li> <li>Verify and update demographic and insurance information</li> <li>Schedule office visits, lab work, radiology tests, and internal referrals</li> <li>Respond to phone calls and emails related to appointment scheduling</li> <li>Send out appointment reminders or rescheduling letters</li> <li>Assist patients with various requests and resolve scheduling issues</li> <li>Collaborate with care support and maintain referral documentation</li> <li>Support administrative functions and provide coverage for peers when needed</li> <li>Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a patient-first approach</li> <li>Participate in training and orientation of new staff as assigned</li> <li>Attend staff meetings and maintain timely communication with leadership</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Required:</strong></li> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED</li> <li>Six months of related experience and/or training in healthcare or a similar administrative role</li> </ul> <li><strong>Preferred:</strong></li> <ul> <li>Experience in insurance verification and referral processing</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Skills & Abilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Strong organizational, follow-up, and multitasking abilities</li> <li>Proficiency in computer systems and scheduling software</li> <li>Ability to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Problem-solving skills and sound judgment under minimal supervision</li>
