Role Summary:

You will lead the heartbeat of our manufacturing operations by managing the daily activities of the plant’s Maintenance department. By spearheading electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and pioneering predictive maintenance programs. In this role, you are not just managing a team; you are developing a culture of technical excellence and influencing the future of our facility's reliability. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and execute a maintenance strategy consistent with FP&R initiatives: tracking utilization via SAP PM/EAM, coordinate CI projects, lead planned maintenance optimization (PMO) program including failure mode and effect analysis (FEMA) and reliability centered maintenance (RCM), fully develop lubrication program, etc.
  • Manage the maintenance team, schedules, performance and accountability. Identify individual training needs and work to create development plans. Maintain technician certification packets and process.  Frequently communicate to the team.
  • Coordinate activities of the area specific Maintenance Planners to ensure materials and resources are readily available for work and prioritized.  Works with the storeroom coordinator  to maintain parts management. Directly/Indirectly leads daily Technical Meeting
  • Prepare, submit, and manage maintenance expense budget line items
  • Support capital improvement projects as needed.
  • Develop programs to comply with electrical and facilities regulatory requirements (examples: grounding programs and maintenance shop cGMPs).
  • Understand and comply with Hill’s policies, safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety. Identify and report Food Safety issues to management. Completes necessary training, monthly learnings and audits.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance supervision or project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs/OSHA Regulations
  • Working knowledge of PLC, instrumentation electronics, and maintenance repair techniques
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining departmental budgets 



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Automation or Controls Engineering 
  • Proficiency in SAP Purchasing and Work Order systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize initiatives and lead through coaching and feedback in a high-performance environment.
