Shiloh House is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill our Staff Accountant position. An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or an accounting-related field.  A minimum of three years of business work experience may also be substituted for the preferred education requirement.  The Staff Accountant will have demonstrable experience with Microsoft Office 365. Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite preferred.  The Staff Accountant will type at least 30 words per minute with minimal spelling and grammatical errors and actively participate in PQI process. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Finance Director.

Compensation:  In accordance with the Colorado  Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $52,000 - $64,000 per year. Actual pay will  be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted  by law. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday  8:30am - 5:00pm with some flexibility

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and implement operating practices to streamline billing processes as necessary.
• Responsible for payment of Accounts Payable, including submission of invoices, coding expenses, issuing checks, and maintaining vendor files.
• Investigate and resolve matters related to accounts payables/receivables, including complaints, disputes, and grievances.
• Propose process improvements to the Business team.
• Assist in monthly accounting cycle closings, yearly audits, tax compliance, USDA billing, Title billing, grant application processing, donation receipt completion, credit card processing, department budget tracking, overseeing operating budget deposits, financial reports, general ledger management, and resolution of business department complaints for the Finance Director.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree Preferred (a minimum of three years of business work experience may be substituted.)
• Must have a valid CO driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one
• Must be willing & able to pass a criminal background check
• Have a reliable source of transportation
• Must be proficient with MS Office and Google Office Suite 
• Must be capable of typing 30 words per minute with minimal spelling and grammatical errors.  
• Must maintain a professional appearance in the work place
