Job Summary:
The Americas/Corporate International Tax Manager works in a team of tax professionals, working closely with other finance professionals and external consultants, advising our business on a wide range of corporate and international tax issues in connection with large scale, cross border engineering and construction projects around the world.
You will review forms and supporting workpapers for tax compliance, provision, forecasts and audits. You will support transfer pricing planning and documentation and international tax planning for the Americas region, as well as selected corporate special projects. You will provide counsel and help develop tax strategies and policies and ensure all business unit questions are answered and deadlines for forecast, etc. are met, coordinating with other tax team members and outside advisory firms.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review work papers associated with tax forecasts, accruals, and provisions for operations in the Americas region, US foreign tax credits/limitations, assessment of deferred tax assets and liabilities for foreign affiliates, and related matters.
- Review quarterly and year-end close tax accounting entries and reporting for the region.
- Review tax assessments, assist as necessary with tax queries or audits by tax authorities in the Americas region and assists with tax objections or appeals in relation to tax assessments.
- Review foreign and US international tax returns and transfer pricing documentation for the US and Americas region in accordance with local country requirements and related workpapers, ensuring consistency with global transfer pricing strategy.
- Engage with projects and undertake research of international tax compliance and planning implications to support tax guidance to business for foreign operations, including contract language, entity structuring, permanent establishment issues, expatriate tax, tax treaty impacts, indirect and withholding tax planning and monitoring and advising on transfer pricing matters.
- Research tax implications of proposed transactions and restructurings that involve non-US entities and prepares guidance to senior tax management.
- Identify tax issues and communicate to senior tax management.
- Provide support on a variety of local foreign and cross border international tax matters, including contract language, entity structuring, permanent establishment issues, tax treaty impacts, indirect and withholding tax planning, and monitoring and advising on transfer pricing matters.
