Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience. (Anticipated hiring range: $74,652 - $89,772 per year).

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a completed 3-year Master’s or a completed Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology, or a doctorate degree in psychology, education, or a related field. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate degree may be considered; however, all requirements for conferral of the doctorate degree must be met no later than the start date of the position.

Requirements for applicants with a Masters or Ed.S. degree also include

    • Current CA credentialing/licensing as a School Psychologist, Psychologist, or Licensed Educational Psychologist;
    • Three years of professional work experience as a School Psychologist in preK-12 schools;
    • Experience in delivering undergraduate/graduate instruction or professional development;
    • A record and/or plan for research and/or scholarly activities

Requirements for applicants with a doctorate also include

    • CA credentialing/licensing, or intention to obtain it, as a School Psychologist, Psychologist, or Licensed Educational Psychologist; Candidate must have achieved credentialing/licensure by the end of the third year to continue employment.
    • Experience in delivering undergraduate/graduate instruction or professional development;
    • A record and/or plan for research and/or scholarly activities.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this tenure-track position is to train and supervise school psychology graduate students. This position also carries responsibilities in the areas of scholarship (develop a successful program of research or scholarly activity; seek external funding) and service (supporting the administrative and advising needs of the School Psychology program). This position will join a team of faculty and staff that coordinates the School Psychology program, with opportunities for developing program leadership. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
