Mountain Patrol Lead
Age requirement of 21- FTYR
The Mountain Patrol Lead will be an essential member of Woodward Park City's Health and Safety team. The successful applicant will drive a positive patrol culture, administer first aid and handle incidents around the Woodward Park City facility, lead the day-to-day operations, promote excellent guest service, and assist incident investigations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Lead Patroller will be a patroller who oversees the day-to-day operation and may be scheduled to work day or evening shifts to fit the operation's needs. The Lead Patroller will accomplish tasks designated by the Manager/Assistant Manager/Supervisor of Health and Safety, as well as the duties below:
Promote and contribute to the ongoing safety culture and support operations as needed.
Lead day-to-day operations and follow opening and closing procedures.
Drive a positive patrol culture.
Assisting with and providing patient care for all indoor and outdoor activities (Skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, skateboarding, scooter, in-line skating, BMX, parkour, tubing, skiing, snowboarding).
Provide excellent guest service regardless of the situation.
Proficiency with chairlift evacuation & willing to assist in patroller development by being involved in training opportunities.
Track and inventory medical supplies for reorder.
Lead incident investigations.
Operate snowmobiles and 4x4 vehicles for mountain operations.
Cross-train and assist in dispatch duties.
Lead and assist with weekly patrol and safety training.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new skills.
Communicates effectively with the Manager/Assistant Manager/Supervisor of Health and Safety
In the absence of management, the lead will be required to complete the following tasks: lead morning meeting, assign daily tasks, oversee closing procedures, initiate incident investigations, become a point of contact for events, and contact management for any serious incident.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements
Must be an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) and CPR certified before employment.
2-3 years patrol experience.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must complete a background check before employment.
Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Must be able to operate equipment, including ski, snowboard, and/or mountain bike.
Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow, and provide directions.
Must be able to negotiate terrain in and around Woodward Park City safely. All applicants must ski or snowboard and mountain bike.
Must safely assess and negotiate all-season terrain and action sports hub environments.
Must have the ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Must have excellent guest service skills.
Preferred Skills:
5+ years of Ski Patrol Experience
Previous leadership experience
Four-year college degree
