Sr Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

As a Professional Land Surveyor, you will work with relevant support staff to provide survey related services on client projects.  The Ideal PLS will have at least 10 years of experience as a Licensed Land Surveyor in the States of Maryland and or Virginia Work Authorization: Due to the Rules and Regulations and Requirements from the US Govt and our Client – Candidates must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship or US Govt Permanent Resident
Essential FunctionsProvide direction, review, and support to the survey group by leading projects; assuring proper practices and techniquesPlans, organizes and manages project elements and manage multiple clientsProvide oral and written communication to project teams, clients and the publicPlanning organizing and coordinating the work of field survey crewsManage multiple project teams in the fieldEnsure compliance with Company's safety standards

Day to Day

• Survey to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, land division, titles, mining or other surveying related purposes
• Construction staking, planning, reports, maps, plats, deeds, local geography, physical evidence, legal descriptions, and research
• Responsible for accuracy of documents and deliverables completed by team
• Instruct, train, and mentor crew members
• May confer with project team members and clients to lead, prepare, and participate in project proposals and interviews
• Effectively manages and delivers projects on-time and on budget

Skills / Qualifications

• PLS certification in the State of Maryland and or Virginia
• Ideally 10+ years of Experience working as a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor
• Ideal Candidate will have experience with Land Title Surveys, Right of Way Surveys, Boundary Surveys, and Topographical Surveys
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate motorized vehicles
• Mus be able to properly uses Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have at least 8+ years of working knowledge utilizing AutoCAD and MicroStation other Civil CADD Systems will be acceptable
