Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Directly assist Head Writer for urgent tasks and schedule needs.
  • Assist Writers Assistant in creation and distribution of material for daily Creative Meeting.
  • Update archives including databases for various bits/games.
  • Take notes in daily meetings with writers.
  • Make copies of monologue documents throughout the day and distribute final monologue to studio floor.
  • Stock Writers' Room and maintain general upkeep.
  • Distribute writers' scripts for daily studio rehearsals.
  • Tracks monologue and show elements in database.
  • Assist writers with any internet research or material proofing.
  • Oversee the interns as they handle the writers’ coffee, lunch and dinner runs.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:     

  • Minimum 1 year of prior experience on a TV show (preferably at a studio or network).
  • Minimum 1 year experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to work at 30 Rockefeller Center.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Additional Requirements:

  • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
  • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.   • Annual salary range: $60,060 - $72,800
  • Hourly salary range: $16.50 - $20.00
  • The candidate who fills this position will be paid at least 60 hours per week regardless of whether they work less than 60 hours. Hours over 40 hrs/wk will be paid at the appropriate overtime rate.
