The Senior Payroll Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the direction of the payroll department in the absence of the Payroll Manager. Trains new Payroll Coordinators and assigns tasks among existing coordinators. Oversees and participates in weekly payroll processing ensuring that all deadlines affecting weekly payroll are met. Keeps the Payroll Manager informed of all situations which may have an adverse impact on timely, accurate and efficient processing of payroll. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:
1.    Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2.    High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3.    One (1) year experience in the position of Payroll Coordinator processing payroll using Timeworks and the Infinium payroll system -OR- two (2) years proven payroll experience in a position of similar or equal responsibility.
4.    Extensive understanding of payroll procedures used to process all payroll “cycles” and activities including processing tokes, tips and gratuities for all Casinos and Hotels. 
5.    Have knowledge of and the ability to create and submit various bank, census and tax deposit activities to back up the Payroll Accountant if necessary.
6.    Excellent math and 10-key skills required.

Salary Starting Rate:

$23.70

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
