Our business momentum has continued quarter over quarter, with double-digit sales growth resulting in strong earnings per share performance. To further our transformation, we have named a Chief Technology Officer, reporting into our CEO to build the strategy, lead the teams, and build the systems we will need to be leading-edge in CPG plus change how we work as a digitally connected enterprise.
We have an new opportunity for an Enterprise Technology Transformation Leader to develop and implement Hershey’s strategic roadmap for IT transformation and create a modern IT Operating Model and structure
What the role must deliver:
Year 1: Develop Design and Blueprint for Digital Transformation
- Develop and implement a compelling strategic roadmap for IT transformation aligned with Transformation Program and LSP business objectives.
- Create modern and forward-thinking Hershey IT Operating Model and Org Design recommendation in collaboration with the CTO, HR, and key partners, then help install it.
- Lead compelling business value case to design for delivery of a digitally enabled workforce and processes to unlock value including alignment with organizational KPIs, goals, financial metrics.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices to enhance overall IT-informed business thinking and capabilities.
- Oversee the evaluation, selection, and integration of new technologies and systems including point of view on build internally, borrow and modify, or buy outright.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in technology to inform decision-making.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the IT organization, including 3rd party implementation and other partners.
Year 2-3: Develop and Deliver Product Management Organization and Solutions
- Direct ownership of HSYs Product Management Capability including initial definition of Planning processes; represents best practices and leverage internal knowledge to define design and blueprint, encourage buy-in, mobilize efforts to deliver transformation, and drives the changes needed for end-to-end planning across Hershey business units.
- Stands up initial process, tools, tech, and teams that unlocks immediate planning value.
- Drive design of the end-to-end Planning processes; identifies technology solution, build, and integration across all geography as well as business units on the S/4 HANA process and systems.
- Create the business case for process, tool, tech, and org (e.g., costs, benefits, etc. and when needed org designs)
- Establish an end-to-end planning holistic planning process and system to enable Strat Plan multi-year goals for Planning processes.
- Builds tech design and initial build by leading and directing the work of IT, 3rd party implementation partners, internal/external developers.
- Proactively identify strategic and tactical design opportunities, particularly w/ the Functional Leadership Teams and EC stakeholders.
- Influence Global Process Owners and service delivery leaders and internal customers to gain buy-in and implement improvement actions.
