Humana Healthy Horizons in Oklahoma is seeking a RN, Utilization Management (UM) Nurse 2 who will use their clinical nursing skills to support the coordination, documentation, and communication of medical services and benefit administration determinations. The RN, Utilization Management Nurse 2 works on assignments that are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

• Coordinates and communicates with Internal Medical Directors, Providers, Enrollees, or other parties to facilitate optimal care and treatment.
• Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
• Uses clinical knowledge, communication skills, and independent critical thinking skills toward interpreting criteria, policies, and procedures to provide the best and most appropriate treatment, care, or services for Enrollees.
• Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situation, requiring minimal direction and receiving guidance where needed.
• Follows established guidelines and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Must reside in the state of Oklahoma.
• An active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
• Three (3) or more years of experience working in an acute care, skilled or rehabilitation clinical setting.
• One (1) or more years of experience in utilization management.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs specifically in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently under general instructions and with a team.

Additional Information

• Workstyle: This is a remote position.
• Typical Workdays and Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm Central Standard Time (CST)
• Weekend Work Schedule Rotation: Associates in this role will work one weekend every 10 – 12 weeks. Leadership will discuss more details in interview.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$69,800 - $96,200 per year

 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
