To serve as the subject matter expert for an assigned area providing operational support to the organization focusing on Payment Processing Applications such as Zelle, Real Time Payments, Fedwire, Cashier’s Check, Western Union and ACH. Ensure department objectives are met in operational stability, efficiency, asset management, change control, performance management, metric development, security, and integrity of systems. Provide related to application analysis and incident support functions.
Candidate must understand and meet all the business requirements, abstract, and design a configurable, extensible, scalable, performant, robust solution. Must be able to adopt to agile and innovative to solve business problems.
Serve as the technical subject matter expert for an assigned area providing complex operational support to the organization. Ensure projects and department objectives are met in operational stability, efficiency, asset management, change control, performance management, metric development, security, integrity of systems, and delivered on schedule. Provide operational support 24*7 applications two time a month on-call rotation in addition to supporting after-hour deployments.
The Engineer will oversee services with the end user in mind with high complexity of low to medium maturity. The candidate will be expected to work on multiple projects and applications and be able to collaborate in multiple engagements across the product teams. Operates with minimum supervision in a complex environment and serves as a Subject matter expert for the application under the portfolio assigned. Work with potential external vendors and partners with the Product Engineering and Delivery team.
- Should be able to develop and execute SQL queries
- Windows IIS Experience
- Implement planned application maintenance releases and patches
- Provide 24X7 support and coverage (rotational on call support)
- Responsible for day-to-day operation and application incidents/events. Ensure proactive monitoring of overall system performance
- Production Support Experience (Troubleshooting, finding Root Cause Analysis and finding workaround)
- Assist with root cause investigations and provide recommendations
- Modify, program and test vendor software to enhance overall systems performance in the context of the organization and business needs
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities and other infosec findings
- Mentor the team, set standards, best practices, and establish maintenance processes
- Knowledge in Project Management life cycle
- Implement changes through multiple environments utilizing the ServiceNow and Change Management process along with Release, Problem Management cycle.
- Work on renewing and managing Venafi TLS certificate
- Patch and manage Windows Servers
- Implement and manage alerts and monitoring tools
- Openness to acquiring new skills and adapting to changing technologies
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 5-7 years of experience in systems engineering
- Complete knowledge and understanding of business area/specialization
- Advanced skill with technical applications/languages, information technology or engineering methods
- Experience with systems engineering and programming
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies and tools
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and services
- Experience with system monitoring and alerting tools
- Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Able to write Splunk Query and research issues analyzing data
- Knowledge of GitHub Repository
- Familiarity with tools like Jenkins and other automation Devops tools
- Working effectively with Development, QA, Business, and Middleware
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple issues simultaneously
