Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a self motivated, results driven Production Supervisor to lead the production team to achieve the operational goals defined by the company. You will have the opportunity to apply your experience to take the production team to the next level, turning them into a high-performance team that is sensitive to abnormalities and embraces continual improvement to overcome difficulties and challenges on the production floor!

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure machines are running at expected speeds, with minimal downtime, and producing high quality labels
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed for each process
  • Drive a positive safety culture with the belief that all injuries can be prevented
  • Provide immediate support when a flow in the process is down.
  • Identify areas for improvement in process, equipment, and training
  • Utilize effective troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis to monitor, assess, and resolve production issues with staff and equipment
  • Develop and/or maintain reporting mechanism needed to monitor critical production metrics
  • Coach and mentor all direct reports for development and succession planning
  • Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate performance of production personnel with the goal of cross training staff and ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are maintained and followed
  • Execute performance evaluation with each employee at least one time per year
  • Lead, practice, and sustain Lean initiatives
  • Communicate concerns and issues at shift changes with peers as needed

You Must Have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication and facilitation skills
  • A demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with little supervision
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team
  • Be an excellent problem solver. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Be able to think independently, be assertive and exercise good judgment
  • Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to learn new computer programs and complex procedures in a highly customized, dynamic, and multi-tasking work environment

The anticipated Salary for this position is $80,000– $90,000. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
