Job Details:

General Notes

  • This position is grant funded, and it will be renewed each year, contingent on funding and performance.

  • This position is based in Austin, TX and is not eligible for hybrid work.

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to support operations and outreach for the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support for operations and day-to-day workflow.

  • Manage printing and mailing (incoming/outgoing) needs.

  • Support management and supervision of student employees or interns.

  • Update and maintain centralized protocols and procedures.

  • Manage logistics for NDC events including staff meetings, virtual trainings, stakeholder working meetings, and professional development opportunities.

  • Support community outreach and engagement including campus visitors, conferences and events, and networking activities.

  • Identify areas for improvement and troubleshooting.

  • Actively contribute to an environment and culture of community and belonging, by participating in center-wide training, discussions, and implementation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Three or more years of experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity. Demonstrated expertise in administrative tasks. Able to multitask and prioritize assignments. Flexibility and ability to work in a fully team centered environment. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Professional demeanor. Beginner proficiency in American Sign Language or willingness to learn.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in office management, communications, or a related field. Five or more years of experience working in office settings. Demonstrated experience with management or supervision. Intermediate or greater proficiency with American Sign Language.

Salary Range

$50,000 - $55,000
