Job Objective: Coordinates day-to-day operations of property maintenance, including but not limited to
supervising maintenance employees and vendors, obtaining and processing proposals for necessary repairs
and maintenance, confirming work invoices for payment, conducting property site inspections, and managing
leases.

 

Pay Rate: $26.00-29.00

Status: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week

• Supervises maintenance employees including training, developing schedules, assigning work orders,
managing employee timecards, and reviewing completed work.
• Solicit, supervise, and review work of third-party contractors/vendors for basic maintenance and
repairs.
• Solicit bids and submit requisitions for medium property projects following TSA policies & procedures.
• Maintain databases and files pertaining to property and maintenance. Including but not limited to
Archibus, Excel, Building Schematics, Preventative Maintenance and Leases.
• Develops and implements preventative maintenance processes and procedures for owned and leased
properties.
• Perform site inspections to develop recommendations for improvements and to perform facility planning
budgeting and equipment replacement.
• Monitors warehouse, center, stores, and quarters both leased and owned for OSHA and TSA Property
Guidelines compliance.
• Reviews and responds to Risk Management findings. Creating work orders for the completion of
repairs.
• Prepare and submit purchase order requests using the center purchase order system.
• Submits property related insurance claims. Provide needed support information when an employee
insurance claim is being submitted.
• Research and recommend cost saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Achieve cost savings through maximizing utilization of suppliers, preferred vendors/contractors and
identifying additional efficiency opportunities.
• Coordinates with Administrator/DOO to develop, negotiate and manage leases.
• Regularly attend and/or participate in training opportunities to maintain high technical, maintenance and
administrative skills.
• Coordinates with program and operations teams when utility shutdowns may impact operations.
• Communicates with ARCC Property Specialist regarding projects and payments.
• Protect the resources under their supervision.
• Implement Product Control Procedures preventing shrinkage through theft or spoilage.
• Control property, utility, and product supply waste.
• May perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.
• Participate in the budgeting process, identifying property projects that need consideration.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: 3 years of experience in property/facilities management. Experience with staff management a plus
Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication
with beneficiaries, management, and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills include but are not limited to the use of the payroll program, Microsoft Office
Suite and all other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.
• Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity.

 

Supervisory Responsibility:
•Train and supervise the maintenance staff.
•Review and approve time and attendance for maintenance personnel using the current payroll
system. Checks time logs regularly. Following all current regulations and trainings.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Driver’s License. Able to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army per Salvation Army Policy.
