Veterinary Technician, Overnight - CVT/LVT/RVT | $20–$35/hr | Sign-On Bonus Offered
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Schedule: Full-Time | Overnight | Three 12-hour shifts
Compensation: $20–$35/hour + $5/hour Overnight Shift Differential + Sign-On Bonus
Join Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital as a full-time Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician in Portsmouth, NH. Support our ER/ICU team while providing advanced patient care for emergency, critical care, and hospitalized patients in a fast-paced specialty environment.

Compensation
- $20–$35 per hour, based on experience, skills, and credentials
- Sign-On Bonus!
- $5/hour shift differential for hours worked between 12:00am–7:00am
- Annual CE Allowance: Starting at $800 for licensed technicians and incremental increases based on total years credentialed

- Includes one weekend shift
- Two holidays per year
- Participation in on-call rotation as needed
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to emergency, critical care, hospitalized, and specialty patients including surgical, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, and urgent care cases
- Triage incoming emergency patients and assess patient status quickly and efficiently
- Place IV catheters, administer medications and fluids, and perform accurate dosage calculations
- Assist with patient stabilization and support life-saving procedures, including CPR
- Collect diagnostic samples and assist with imaging and patient monitoring
- Induce and monitor anesthesia and sedation for emergency and specialty procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
- Monitor patient vitals, identify changes in condition, and communicate findings promptly to the attending veterinarian
- Educate clients at discharge regarding medications, home-care instructions, and follow-up recommendations with empathy and clarity
- Support a collaborative, team-focused hospital environment while contributing to daily workflow and patient care priorities
- CVT / LVT / RVT or VTNE Eligible required
- 1+ years of experience in a small animal hospital setting preferred
- Emergency or critical care experience is a plus
- Strong technical skills including patient restraint, venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring,
