Th Senior Director of Labor and Employee Relations is responsible for developing and implementing labor relations strategies in alignment with both the overall Danaher strategy and Radiometer strategy. The role is a blend of hands-on tasks, concrete sparring with senior leaders/HRBP’s and strategic planning. Overall responsible for all negotiations and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. The role includes leadership of a diverse team including a couple of LER specialists.

This position reports to the Gopalkrishna Vennelakanti, VP HR and is part of the Global HR tea, located in Denmark, Brønshøj in our HQ and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Labor Relations Strategy: Develop and implement labor relations strategies that align with Danaher and Radiometers strategy.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of HR and the rest of the HR management team in strategic organizational decisions and high profile or complex employee matters. Work strategically with the DHR LER team to align initiatives and decisions.
  • HR transformation key role: Danaher and diagnostics is going through and HR transformation and this role will be play a significant and key role in future focused LER transformation for USD ~10B diagnostics platform and helping the enterprise understand and appreciate the nuances globally to create compliant, effective and impactful change
  • Elevating the level of HR: This role will also have the additional responsibility to further elevate HR business partners and HR leaders understanding on LER and further boost competency development
  • Advisor and Sparring partner: Collaborate closely with HRBP’s and the business and act as a trusted advisor in relation to organizational changes and concrete associate matters.
  • Collective Bargaining: Oversee collective bargaining agreements and related negotiations ensuring that agreements are developed to support Radiometer objectives best possible way.
  • Policy Development: Create and update policies related to labor and employee relations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, Danaher and Radiometer strategy, while ensuring that Radiometer can attract and retain talent.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education: A master’s in law is preferred but other alternative background combined with extensive labor law experience can also fulfil the needs.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor relations, potentially combined with other HR related areas and with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining, and employee relations practices.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Integrity: Strong ethical standards and a commitment to fairness and transparency.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with organizational objectives.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – 15% of the time globally
