A part of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas was founded in 1905 and is a nationally recognized center for oral health sciences education, research, specialized patient care and continuing dental education. The College of Dentistry is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to serve in the department of Biomedical Sciences. What you need to know
Proposed Minimum Salary: Commensurate based on selected hire's qualifications.
Work Schedule/Location: Located in Dallas, Texas, this is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Appropriate Doctoral Degree in Neuroscience. No experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Record of peer-reviewed research papers.
Willingness to work with research animals (mice and rats).
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, detail-oriented and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in neuroscience.
Experience in neuroscience research.
Hands-on experience in pain research.
Strong background and skills in slice recording combined with optogenetic manipulation.
Responsibilities
Research – Pain Model Preparation: Conduct animal model preparation
Research- Pain Study: Perform optogenetic stimulation
