Non-automotive, non-union company is GROWING and adding a Warehouse Operations Manager that will be leading an 8M pilot project. As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will have two direct reports and 37 indirect reports. You will report directly to the Vice President of Warehouse Operations. This is a high-profile position! Daily your responsibilities will include:

• Fostering a production environment that is focused on supply, quality, efficiency and safety initiatives
• Creating a highly automated warehouse environment by leading an 8M robotic project
• Assessing the current warehouse environment and developing a plan to double size and volume for the site in the next two years
• Developing, coaching, mentoring and leading direct and indirect reports that have excellent tenure among the facility
• Establishing and identifying process improvements to decrease scrap, increase efficiencies and save the organization money
• Fostering relationships with production staff to attain warehouse goals and make needed improvements
• Monitoring and improving warehouse analytics and KPIs
• Interfacing with target markets, including customers, sales and vendors
• Presenting production reports and metrics to the management team
• Assisting with staffing and disciplinary actions
• Analyzing data and improving ERP functionality
• Other duties as directed by management

The company is seeking a candidate that is willing to spend up to 50% of their day on the warehouse floor. Candidates should be able to establish a strong working relationship with the warehouse staff. This is a high-profile position that will interact regularly with the C suite while still being able to get their hands dirty. The candidate will be a leader to implement efficiency improvements and create benchmarks for other sites to follow. Candidates should be promotable, have high energy and be able to envision strategic initiatives. The qualified individual will be passionate about continuous improvement and improving processes and Lean initiatives.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS for the Warehouse Operations Manager:

1. Bachelor's degree is highly preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of degree

2. Depending on education, at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar warehouse, distribution and/or operations management position

3. Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports

4. Strong experience executing continuous improvement initiatives

5. Non-union supervision experience

6. ERP and/or WMS experience

7. Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel

Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Formal Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications

2. Experience working in highly automated or robotic environments

3. Power BI experience

4. Mechanical aptitude

5. Data analytics
