Job Description
CSCI is seeking an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Cloud Support Engineer to provide Tier 2/3 operational support for Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x) environments hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role ensures system availability, performance, security, and compliance while supporting ongoing cloud operations and modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x) in OCI
- Monitor and resolve application, workflow, and concurrent processing issues
- Support EBS modules such as Financials, Supply Chain, HR, and Manufacturing (as applicable)
- Support OCI compute, storage, networking, and backup/DR services for EBS
- Collaborate with DBAs on Oracle Database performance, backups, and recovery
- Coordinate patching, upgrades, cloning, and environment refreshes
- Support security controls, IAM, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and change management
- Maintain operational documentation and participate in on-call rotations
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x)
- Hands-on experience supporting EBS in a cloud environment (OCI preferred)
- Strong understanding of EBS architecture and Linux/Unix environments
- Familiarity with Oracle Database administration concepts
- Experience supporting enterprise production systems
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence
Preferred Skills
- Experience migrating Oracle EBS to OCI
- OCI certifications (Foundations, Architect Associate/Professional)
- Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, scripting)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
- Experience in regulated or government environments
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
