Join the newly established AI Technology team at Wargaming, where we are shaping the future of gaming with cutting-edge AI technologies. We are seeking a skilled, passionate, and collaborative DevOps Engineer to become a key member of our AI Technology team.

In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our next-generation AI and ML solutions. These projects range from internal tools that enhance the workflows of Wargaming employees to large-scale services that elevate the gaming experience for millions of players worldwide.

What will you do?

• Ensure Reliable Operations: Maintain smooth, reliable, and efficient operations for a range of AI-enabled products, from internal tools utilized by Wargaming employees to large-scale services that enhance the experience of the company’s multi-million player audience.
• Build and Evolve AI Infrastructure: Create, develop and maintain the infrastructure and automation tools that form the foundation of AI-enabled products and services, collectively known as the AI Platform.
• Streamline Deployment Processes: Create and manage robust, efficient CI/CD pipelines to deploy AI solutions seamlessly across cloud environments (primarily AWS) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Enhance System Stability: Actively minimize the likelihood of technical failures by implementing preventive measures and responding swiftly to incidents to resolve operational challenges in large-scale, live systems.
• Availability and Responsiveness: Due to the nature of working with production systems, maintain readiness to provide on-call support outside regular working hours to ensure continuous service availability.

What are we looking for?

• Proven DevOps Expertise: Strong understanding of DevOps patterns, principles, and best practices, with several years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Cloud and On-Premises Deployment: Demonstrated experience in deploying, monitoring, and managing services in cloud environments (specifically AWS) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in Kubernetes and containerization technologies, along with a deep understanding of their ecosystems and practical applications.
• CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and a solid grasp of IaC practices to automate and streamline infrastructure management.
• Scripting and Automation: Advanced skills in scripting and automation using tools such as *nix shell and Python to enhance operational efficiency.
• Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, subnets, and firewall rules, to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
• English Proficiency: Fluent English communication skills at a B2 level or higher, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively within a global team.

• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with modern DevOps tools such as GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Helm, and similar technologies to enhance automation and workflow efficiency.
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools for managing and provisioning infrastructure.
• Monitoring and Observability: Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Zabbix for tracking performance and diagnosing issues.
• Code Comprehension: Ability to read and understand application-level Python code, identifying key aspects for operational purposes.
