PAY 

$14.75 - $19.75 Hourly

The normal starting pay for this position is the minimum of the pay range listed above. A higher rate of pay may be considered, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant and/or the City’s step placement policy.

DEPARTMENTAL INFORMATION

This position will be in the Records Division, at Permits & ID's, and is responsible for the City's alarm program, among other duties. The Permits & ID (PID) unit is a small unit that is responsible for the City’s alarm program which includes processing alarm permits for all commercial, governmental, and residential alarmed locations and issuing building access and ID cards to city employees and authorized non-employees.  Both full-time positions and the part-time positions are responsible for separate duties in addition to processing alarm permits and issuing IDs.

JOB SUMMARY  

This position is located in the Public Safety Support Division of the Police Department within the City of Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for providing advanced administrative support, including higher level clerical and research duties. Typical duties include: assisting in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety of statistical records; verifying elementary statistical data and reports for accuracy and completeness; and providing technical assistance or support to professional staff. Other duties may include: assisting in conducting surveys and/or research relating to department/agency operations; inputting and maintaining data in computerized system and generating computerized reports; and performing related duties as assigned.

Note:  Civilian employees of the Oklahoma City Police Department must successfully complete a comprehensive background check and polygraph test prior to employment.

Pay Method:  City employees are required to receive pay electronically, either via direct deposit or pay card.
