Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $21.00 per hour, plus $1.00 Shift Differential.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operation of a forklift truck with various attachments to move palletized and unpalletized products and materials.
- Loading and unloading of finished goods and packaging materials from trucks of various sizes and configurations.
- Competence in all the required support functions for the packaging floor including:
- Appropriate boxes, cartons, film, totes, etc. provided at the proper time in the proper place.
- Removal of unused materials and waste/scrap materials.
- Movement of regrind materials to support the regrind operations.
- Maintenance of sanitation standards at all times.
- Competence in using the relevant computer screens and reports, knowledge to enter information quickly and very accurately, and knowledge to run reports, print documents, etc.
- This includes investigating material deviations in SAP, cycle counting, and fixing incorrect data in the system
- Communicate routinely with a professional manner with associates to assure that all understand the day’s production schedule, key issues, and challenges
- Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues
- Assure daily documentation, analysis and trending of data regarding production, waste, maintenance issues, safety issues.
- Exudes a high degree of inter-personal skills and has the ability to work well with everyone
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- At least 3 years of production manufacturing/warehousing experience preferred, food manufacturing preferred
- Working knowledge of warehouse management and ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of production equipment and systems.
- Working knowledge of food safety and food quality standards and regulations such as SQF or BRC and environmental and safety regulations preferred.
- Competency in English language (read, write, speak); excellent written, oral, and listening skills.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Requires basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide combined with analytical skills used to track and trend data and be able to use that data to guide decisions and communications with associates
- Ability to effectively present information to top management
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
