The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Advanced Engineering Specialist for Business Supply Chain you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading significant NPI qualification manufacturing readiness plans for global products focused on cost, capability, capacity, and resilient supply chains
• Identifies and influence NPI teams on the best possible technology to leverage for new product platforms
• Designs, qualifies and executes global source of supply optimization including localization and value stream consolidation
• Supporting significant yield improvements in worldwide factories
• Collaborates across all business functions to drive core manufacturing improvement across Industrial Adhesive and Tapes manufacturing globally

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical or industrial engineering (completed and verified prior to start)
• Seven (7) years of manufacturing experience Experience with complex manufacturing equipment including coating, web handling, compounding, and converting in a private, public, government or military environment
• Project Management experience in complex Global organization

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
• Experience working in a variety of coating technologies including solvent, hot melt, and other solventless coating technologies unique to 3M
• Experience with complex control systems and automation
• Supply chain design experience

Work location:

• This role is primarily located in Maplewood, MN
• Must have the ability to travel up to 35% to global manufacturing sites
• Hybrid, expect to be at 3M Center or a 3M facility 3 to 4 days per week
• Flexible work schedule to interact with global teams across time zones

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic and/or international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
