Assists with nutrition care of patients. Calculates meal patterns, nutrient intakes and calorie needs. Enters patient menu selection into CBORD. Monitors menu selection accuracy. Calculates calorie counts. Assists with basic diet instructions, meal rounds and performs department Patient Satisfaction Survey interviews. Serves as department liaison to patients, visitors, and staff.
• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Requires registration as a Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) or completion of a 4-year Foods and Nutrition degree.
• Requires knowledge of current nutrition therapy and nutrition, education, and assessment techniques.
• Requires basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of the CBORD system is preferred.
