Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Proposal Specialist to join our team.  This is an exciting opportunity to gain strategic insight into our company and business development processes as a part of our expanding proposals and marketing group.

As a Proposal Specialist, you will support our business development team in the developing all project prequalification packages and annual surveys for their respective market. Reporting to the Market Lead, you will also maintain a database prequalification information and support proposals as capacity allows. This position requires a strong work ethic, initiative, time management and an unwavering commitment to quality.

District Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. Clients benefit from the proven processes and tools used by Kiewit to minimize project risk. We are an in-house resource that supports projects throughout the company. Location

This position is based out of Lone Tree, CO. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Kiewit Engineering Group Inc.’s registration, prequalification, and renewal process for all state department of transportation (DOT) and various transportation agencies
  • Collaborate with design management and business development teams to prioritize DOT or agency prequalification per the needs for upcoming pursuits by client
  • Develop compliance matrix to outline all requirements for the prequalification submission
  • Lead development of all items required for the prequalification submission
  • Coordinate with engineering discipline leads related to all technical applications requirements
  • Prepare written responses for prequalification submissions including letters, resumes and project datasheets, as required
  • Work in partnership with finance department to prepare and submit financial application
  • Ensure that appropriate QC, Review(s) and Approval(s) are obtained for all content and deliverables
  • Maintain records for all prequalification submissions by DOT and agency and manage schedule tracker to determine upcoming renewals
  • Develop appropriate network within the company to facilitate identification and sharing of relevant information, best practices etc. between internal departments
  • Shows the ability to manage several projects simultaneously and solve problems independently and as part of team
  • Drives continuous improvement and is a proponent for positive change, is willing and open to receive feedback
  • Assist Kiewit Engineering Group Inc’s Contract team with additional requests as needed
