Senior Drilling Engineer Advisor

<p><span>At H&amp;P, our people are our strength.</span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span>The Senior Drilling Engineering Advisor will deliver the three pillars of service of H&amp;P’s Advanced Well Engineering team: Real-Time Advisory, Well Delivery, and Tailored Analyses using DrillScan® Digital Solutions. They will support business development activities within their region. They will contribute to the development of the engineering team, through knowledge and experience transfer to more junior members of the team. They will report to the Well Engineering Manager.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Activities:</b></p><p>Specific duties may include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Contribute to managing the engineering work plan and study work process</li><li>Promote physics-based drilling engineering, execution, and deep data analytics</li><li>Contribute to the continual development of the engineering team through knowledge and experience transfer</li><li>Lead peer reviews and QA/QC of deliverables for clients</li><li>Supervise Real-Time services validating drilling optimization recommendations and way forward</li><li>Super user for all DrillScan Digital Solutions</li><li>Perform advanced well engineering studies</li><li>Capitalize and share acquired know-how learning engineering processes and workflows</li><li>Develop strong relationships and maintain regular contact with clients</li><li>Participate to the ongoing development of DrillScan Digital Solutions</li><li>Handle special projects as assigned</li><li>Provide training courses to clients</li><li>Support the Business Development team</li><li>Promote H&amp;P DrillScan Digital Solutions, training, and pillars of services</li><li>Promote H&amp;P values: Actively C.A.R.E., Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, and Teamwork</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment</li><li>Knowledge of well engineering, well integrity, and drilling performance</li><li>Highly proficient in the use of drilling engineering software</li><li>Excellent learning, analytical, and synthesis skills</li><li>Effective problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong communication skills with peers and less experienced engineers</li><li>Excellent presentation skills with close attention to the quality of deliverables</li><li>Demonstrated capabilities in writing and presenting technical papers</li><li>Behaviour compliant with the core values of the company: Actively CARE, Service Attitude, Innovative Spirit, Teamwork, Do the Right Thing, Hunger, Humble and Smart</li><li><span>Displays Ideal Team Player virtues i.e. being humble, hungry and smart</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><p><span>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in petroleum engineering and/or mechanical engineering </span></p><p></p><p><b>Experience</b>:</p><ul><li>6-10 years of experience in drilling and wells <span>engineering/operations,</span> preferably acquired with an operator and/or a service company specialized in Directional Drilling and MWD/LWD measurements</li><li><span>Experience with providing real-time engineering services or monitoring</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Travel:</b></p><ul><li>Business trips for client meetings and to attend/present at technical conferences</li><li>Missions to be based in client offices to provide engineering services</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Other:</b></p><p><span>Fluent English, French would be a plus</span></p><p></p><p><span>Thank you for your interest in joining our team!</span></p>
