Job Description

As a Security Officer - Corporate Building Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and provide clear, professional customer service and communication with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the financial services location, including lobbies, office areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points by observing visitor traffic, verifying authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in and/or screening processes per site policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional resources and/or emergency services as needed.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in written reports and logs, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
