Overview
Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule:
- Full Time: 6am- 4pm

Join Embark Behavioral Health in Alexandria, Virginia, where you'll support teens (12-17) through experiential therapies like art therapy, music therapy, yoga, hiking, and fitness—helping them build resilience and long-term well-being.
As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide structured support, mentorship, and crisis intervention while maintaining healthy boundaries.

Responsibilities
- Guide teens through challenges using verbal de-escalation and safe intervention techniques.
- Foster a supportive, structured atmosphere, serving as a positive role model.
- Communicate key observations and updates to the Program Director.
- Document daily progress to track and celebrate client growth.
- Encourage participation in daily routines (ADLs) and teach healthy coping strategies with empathy.
Qualifications
- Age: 21+
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; degree in psychology, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1+ year working with adolescents preferred.
- Certifications: CPR & First Aid preferred (training provided).
- Requirements: Must pass a drug screening, background check, and hold a valid driver’s license per Virginia state laws.
