Who we're looking for:

The ideal candidate will be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, monitoring post-surgical patients, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knows x-rays and proper positioning, can use in-clinic laboratory equipment, is comfortable administering and dispensing medications prescribed by the veterinarian, understands the importance of client education, takes pride in working in a clean and organized veterinary hospital, and is a motivating and supportive team player. Description:

The Veterinary Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer service and patient care within the veterinary practice.  Tasks include animal handling, pre and post-operative patient care, creating and presenting financial options and estimates, accurately entering service charges into the client processing database, extensive client interaction, and preparing medications.

Requirements

• 2+ years of prior veterinary technician experience required

• Strong venipuncture experience is required

• Proficient skills with IV catheter placements

• Must have surgical experience

• Able to multi-task efficiently

• Positive and supportive team player
