Hybrid Role: This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines.
Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary
Expert in business, information and application architectures that drives strategic thinking and planning of technology, applications and business capabilities across the enterprise. Develops the technology strategies and roadmaps that align business unit strategic and operating plans with information technology capabilities and strategy. This role is responsible for defining the current and future technology landscape for the enterprise considering business vision, external best practices, competitive landscape and emerging technologies. This is delivered by decomposing business strategies and initiatives into actionable multi-year information technology (IT) roadmaps, defining principles, policies and standards that guide technology decisions and IT investments, and producing executive level deliverables that successfully communicate complex technical ideas and business outcomes. This is an individual contributor role.
Key Accountabilities
• Develops architecture and technology objectives for the enterprise and coordinates architecture plans and strategies.
• Creates, maintains and manages technology roadmaps, architecture models, visualizations and specifications that identify targeted recommendations and key investments.
• Sets direction in strategic business applications for the corporation.
• Identifies target capabilities and architecture of key IT services and applications that align the IT strategy and business value levers.
• Assesses and benchmarks targeted technology capabilities and dynamics of the industry.
• Provides consultative services to the IT organization on business capability and technology alignment. Advises IT management in setting the strategic and operational plans for the information technology investment, platform capability and technology roadmaps.
• Expert in architecture and technology planning methodology pertinent to the Enterprise. Maintains relationships with key technology vendors and stays abreast of latest industry best practices, trends and market offerings.
• Creates and articulates the architectural views that communicate the complexity of large systems.
• Facilitates the management of complex environments and strategic use of technologies.
• This position may require gas FERC training.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
This is a multi-track base requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following three options:
• High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in systems development and systems architecture inclusive of 2 years of experience defining and implementing strategies under a CTO or CIO (or equivalent)
• Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering and 10 years of experience in systems development and systems architecture inclusive of 2 years of experience defining and implementing strategies under a CTO or CIO (or equivalent)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering and 8 years of experience in systems development and systems architecture inclusive of 2 years of experience defining and implementing strategies under a CTO or CIO (or equiv
