An opportunity has arisen for a Managing Director to join the Davy Wealth Management Division.
About the Opportunity Managing Director – Davy Select – Davy Wealth Management:
Reporting to the Head of Wealth Operations, this role is responsible for the commercial and strategic management of the Davy Select business. The role is suited to an experienced Wealth Management executive currently operating at a Senior Director/Managing Director level, with exceptional drive, determination and a proven track record of commercial success in a complex regulated business. This people leader must have the ability to motivate, establish trust and build relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- Set and deliver the strategic agenda for Davy Select to best capture the retail market opportunity across all channels including BOI distribution
- Drive profitable sales growth across the D2C, Intermediary and ESOP businesses
- Manage new proposition development including digital innovation and best practice in service delivery
- Lead and represent the department at senior management forums and with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Promote a strong culture of probity, client protection, regulatory & risk awareness, and administrative accuracy in line with our Risk and Compliance Culture Statement
- Build strong partnerships with BOI, leverage existing knowledge, expertise and systems to deliver commercial and strategic solutions
- As a key member of the WM SMT, make a significant contribution to the execution of the WM strategic and operating plans
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ senior management experience in retail financial services, preferably MiFID investment firms
- Proven track record in the areas of Business Development, Sales and Channel Management
- In depth understanding of the Davy Wealth Management operating model including P&L drivers, customer needs and internal capabilities
- Significant local market knowledge of industry key players, investment solutions, pensions, market trends and the regulatory landscape
- In depth knowledge and understanding of key regulations such as best execution, appropriateness, inducements, product governance and PRIPS
- Track record of successful new product innovation
- Existing relationships with key players in the Intermediary market a distinct advantage
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Satisfactory fulfilment of minimum competency criteria as set out in the Minimum Competency Code
