Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding One Outpatient Psychiatrist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham-Cumberland & NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham-Broadway. PURPOSE OF POSITION
The attending psychiatrist will provide direct patient care, clinical guidance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, within Behavioral Health, Substance Use Disorder, and Ambulatory Medicine settings. Physician is responsible for all aspects of psychiatric patient care, including safety and quality. Physician will engage within two clinical sites, each on a part-time basis: Broadway and Cumberland, providing assessment, medication management, and supervision of treatment, for individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use disorders care. 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health CUMBERLAND: Article 31 OMH Outpatient MH Practice 
  • NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health CUMBERLAND: Article 32 OASAS Outpatient SUD Practice 
  • NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health BROADWAY: Article 28 DOH Medical Practice, Collaborative Care 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Direct Patient Care
  2. Provide direct care to patients referred or assigned to the behavioral health outpatient team, including best practices for medication management, appropriate and timely care, and comprehensive documentation. 
  3. Provide direct care to patients referred or assigned to the Substance Use Disorders (aka SUD) outpatient team, including best practices for medication management, appropriate and timely care, and comprehensive documentation. 
  4. Complete psychiatric admission assessment, with a focus on comprehensive risk assessment for all new intakes, and re-assessment of patients, in a timely fashion consistent with policy. 
  5. Has or is willing to develop experience in the full range of medication assisted treatment (MAT) options, including treatment for Opioid Use Disorders and use of buprenorphine in its various forms, for individuals with substance use disorder.
