Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Pricing & Cost Estimating Strategy Intern. In this role, you will support all phases of the proposal process from Request for Proposal (RFP) through negotiations including: Analysis of the development of proposal plans and schedules, review of the Basis of Estimates (BOE’s), support of the Executive Planning Panel (EPP) reviews and proposal fact finding and negotiations. The Individual will serve as the main financial interface on proposals and act as key staff on proposal teams. The individual will also: ensure all due dates are met; review proposal inputs; document scope changes; coordinate document reviews; work closely with authors in their development of basis of estimates, bill of materials, etc. that meet established proposal quality standards.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of research and analyze historical data and develop cost models to support proposal efforts. Report on progress, metrics, and issues for all proposal/RFI efforts to management team. Promote use of standard Estimating tools, processes, and practices within areas of responsibility. Identify productivity initiatives and make sound recommendations to improve proposal processes.

This position also requires the ability to communicate effectively within proposal teams as well as the ability to implement process improvements while performing other related duties and assigned tasks.

Basic Qualifications

-Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management, or other related discipline from an accredited college/university.
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- The individual will need to be able to work as part of an integrated team as well as independently.
- Able to use Microsoft Office Products

Desired skills

-Ability to summarize complex data to influence executive decision making.
- Familiarity with financial statement & business case analysis
- Ability to developing and delivering presentations
- Team player; Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
