Position Description

The SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Solution Architect role here at McKesson will play a critical role in supporting the implementation and delivery of planning solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud. This position involves a blend of technical expertise, project management, and team mentorship.  The SAC Planning Solution Architect ensures that the organization leverages SAP Analytics Cloud to its fullest potential, driving data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
 

Responsibilities

• Supports the FP&A transformation (driver-based planning) of existing legacy solutions that are being replaced by SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC Planning).

• Partners with FP&A process owner and BU FP&A  team members to enable forecasting solution with focus on business outcomes and user experience.

• Translates FP&A strategic direction and business objectives into holistic SAC Planning capabilities that enable financial forecasting requirements across all BUs.

• Collaborates with IT teams to help ensure alignment to overall SAC vision and strategy

• Manages day to day delivery workstreams and drives alignment between business needs and SAC Planning solutions.

• Serves as primary contact point for SAC Planning best practices and design decisions

• Identifies risks, issues, actions, and decisions; removes blockers/obstacles or escalates to Project Leadership and Steering Committee.

• Drives SAC release and operational support planning and execution

Minimum Requirements:

Typically requires 10+ years of professional experience

Critical Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience delivering transformation and innovation in the FP&A function

• 2+ years in a team lead role

• Minimum of 3 full-lifecycle EPM Tool implementations in an technical lead role

• At least one full life-cycle implementation of SAC

• Evidence of leading SAC solutions as a product owner, technical client service lead or lead solution consultant.

• Minimum of 2 years of technical leadership experience using Agile methodologies

Additional Experience

• Advance knowledge/expertise for SAC Planning

• Senior level expertise in functional integration to SAP Finance/major ERPs

• Proven ability to set direction, manage and foster a team-oriented environment

• Proven ability to work creatively in a problem-solving environment

• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to coach and mentor other team members on SAC Planning concepts

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field  or equivalent experience
