JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

Our location in Lake County, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for Procurement Specialist, Business Excellence. The Specialist will focus on training and communication and apply experience and procurement knowledge to execute procurement best practices and execute strategies across Global Procurement Services. Work with customers, internal and external, and the Divisions to solve issues and drive high levels of customer service. The position will be responsible for driving business excellence through training, communications, strategy, people and technologies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Full understanding of "One Procurement" strategies.  Strong knowledge and project work across multiple categories that impact the team positively.

• Works within defined processes and procedures and may help determine appropriate approaches for change.

• Proactively seek innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levels

TRAINING AND COMMUNICATIONS

• Lead the development and distribution of training for procurement.

• Maintain training system and coordinate Global Procurement training compliance.

• Serve as a key point of contact for training-related inquiries and support.

• Develop and implement communications to promote procurement initiatives.

• Management of calendar invitations, coordination and personnel for key events and training.

• Manage and support SharePoint activities and design.

• Support Delegation of Authority process.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Educate on existing solutions and enable performance and tech tools development

• Communicate and drive change globally as a change champion within the Business Excellence organization and Source to Pay Technology platform.

• Drive continuous improvement of processes supporting procurement activities.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

• Collaborate with functions, divisions and global procurement teams

• Seek and support business relationships with diverse suppliers globally

• Meet regularly with divisional customers and support functions to ensure good customer satisfaction and continuous improvement

• Exhibit cultural awareness with foreign business entities

• Lead business to adopt change within global procurement

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree: Arts, Engineering, Science, Business, or Financial Degree 

• 2-4 years of Procurement experience

• Source to Pay Process Understanding

Preferred

• Functional experience in Procurement and other functions

• Strong people skills                            

• Strong problem-solving skills  

• Self-Starter       

• Skilled in spreadsheet programs

• Good communication skills (written and verbal)

• Training and learning management systems understanding

• Good interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills

• Source to Pay Technology Experience
