Job Description

The research assistant carries out experiments as part of a team of bio-medical researchers to investigate the molecular mechanisms mediating diseases. They will also record and analyze experimental results and collaborate effectively with other team members.

  • Maintains a lab database of technical and animal protocols, plasmids, antibodies and other key resources.Keeps accurate records of reagents.
  • Troubleshoots experimental design malfunctions and implements solutions, interfaces directly with equipment manufacturers for adjustments and repairs
  • Instructs research personnel on specialized techniques and complex protocols; coordinates and participates in intra-collegial presentations and meetings. Trains and mentors research personnel.
  • Analyzes results of experiments independently.
  • Develops scientific hypotheses related to ongoing work in the laboratory. Designs experiments to test hypotheses

Minimum four (4) years experience in bench research required. Master's Degree Requirements: Proven expertise in immunology and hands-on experience with flow cytometry, including data analysis and interpretation Minimum four (4) years experience in bench research required.
