To remain a recognized leader, we are seeking a Staff Accountant that is a motivated self-starter, dependable and team-oriented. We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, attention to detail and time management. The Staff Accountant plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of our financial processes and reporting. This position is responsible for completing a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall financial reporting and compliance of the company. Analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software will be key in ensuring accurate financial reports and adherence to regulatory requirements. Contributions will be essential in identifying areas of improvement in financial processes and finding efficiencies in our accounting practices. Duties may vary to include some or all of the following responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts.
• Ownership of the trial balance integrity.
• Preparation of financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Assist in preparation of weekly cash flow projections.
• Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in audits and appraisals by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Manage Fixed Assets within the company.
• Review and submit sales tax.
• Maintain records of company leases.
• Provide support to location managers and review spending in the critical areas of business.
• Maintain inventory costs within the system.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Performance Indicators (ongoing objectives):

• Continue to show initiative in learning processes, procedures and seek support.
• Full understanding of cash flow projections.
• Demonstrate ability to own and resolve balance sheet discrepancies.
• Ensure proper reporting of assets and liabilities.
• Provide feedback based on analysis of expense trends and comparisons to budget.

Requirements

What Tredit Tire is looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or other related field required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Knowledge of ERP Software; Syspro a plus.
• Strong data analysis skills utilizing different platforms such as excel or other business analytic programs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
