Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 Years of Age. AND Specialized Experience: For the TR-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the TR-12/GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Experience in police administration, organization, techniques, practices, policies, functions and programs in order to implement policies and direct the management of the overall police operations for an organization; AND -Experience coordinating special police operations which includes acting as a liaison with other law enforcement personnel, developing special operation plans for high valued asset movements, and acting on specific threats to a facility or installation; AND -Experience ensuring compliance in day-to-day operations with established security criteria prescribed for interior and exterior protection programs; such as Federal, State, and local laws, internal and external rules, regulations, and directives, police manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA), etc. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the TR-13, you must have been at the TR-12/GS-12 level for 52 weeks. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license upon appointment OR within 90 days of appointment (as appropriate) and maintain a valid license while you occupy the position. Wear required safety clothing and/or equipment required by the position. This may include safety shoes, body armor, equipment belt, hearing protection, gloves, masks, etc. Lautenberg Amendment: This position requires carrying a firearm. Any person who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence cannot lawfully possess a firearm or ammunition (Title 18, U.S.C., Section 922(g)(91). You will be ineligible to occupy this position if at any time you have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, unless you received a pardon or your conviction was expunged or set aside - Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory. Complete or have previously completed the Mixed Basic/Uniformed Police Training Program course(s) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA. Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory. This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
