The Opportunity
Our Rapid Diagnostics division currently has an opportunity for a Director, NPI Programs Sustaining to be located in Lake Forest, IL who will oversee NPI programs in sustaining pillar of the ID business, including market expansion initiatives and product changes to meet certain REACH requirements. Own SKU Request Process and Rationalization Efforts. Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of projects. Oversee SW sustaining program management, collate GTM activities for monthly NPI inputs to eS&OP.
What You’ll Work On
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Translate strategic initiatives into comprehensive program/project plans, including detailed timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Continuously monitor and track progress against established plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Commercial value of programs exceeds USD 100 MM
- Reporting and Governance:
- Oversee all reporting activities related to the programs, both directly and through team efforts.
- Collect and collate inputs from cross-functional teams to support project reviews with leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Determine and manage appropriate governance structures for programs, ensuring robust oversight and accountability.
- Risk Management and Communication:
- Guide functional workstream leads (project managers) in identifying and escalating project risks.
- Communicate status updates to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and proactive issue resolution.
- Establish and lead a proactive, transparent, and effective communication cadence to ensure timely dissemination of information with senior leadership, program/project teams, and matrix stakeholders through monthly/quarterly governance meetings.
- Capacity Assessment and Resource Management:
- Conduct capacity assessments, evaluating both human and financial resources to meet plans and timelines.
- Identify gaps and collaborate with functional leaders to resolve resource constraints and ensure project success.
- Product Lifecycle Management:
- Lead the on-market product lifecycle, including additions to product lines/markets, changes/improvements, rationalization, value engineering, or repositioning.
- Maintain ownership of weekly reporting on new SKUs and control all business cases for on-market changes.
- Global Collaboration:
- Work across six ID manufacturing sites globally, navigating different language barriers and cultural contexts to ensure cohesive program execution.
- Directly manage a team of five program managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
