From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

This role contributes to organizational success by owning the capital planning and portfolio management function for the enterprise capital program. The Engineering Program Manager, Capital Planning and Portfolio Management delivers five core functions: Capital System Management – administering the systems, workflows, standards and governance that run the capital process end to end; Capital Portfolio Management – building and maintaining the annual and multi-year capital plan, prioritizing and phasing investments, and reallocating funding as business conditions change; Investment Business Case – partnering with stakeholders and Finance to develop and validate the business case for each investment; Enterprise Stage Gating – applying the Enterprise Stage Gate Process in partnership with the PMO so that projects advance on consistent readiness criteria; and Reporting – producing the spend, forecast and performance visibility that leadership, Finance and project teams rely on to make investment decisions. The role operates across the Global Supply Chain manufacturing and distribution network and serves as the single point of accountability for capital portfolio data integrity. This position models and acts in accordance with the company’s guiding principles.
