Our Animal Health Marketing team takes a customer centric perspective using customer feedback and market intelligence data. Using this data, we design, develop and deploy products, platforms, brands and marketing initiatives that ensure we can improve the health and well-being of animals everywhere. 

Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the execution of marketing strategy and providing marketing, sales and insight selling solutions towards achieving business objectives. This role works closely with marketing and sales teams to help develop business-building marketing programs including, but not limited to, generating impactful customer presentations, developing customer-specific merchandising and promotions and opportunity identification.

Key Stakeholders: Brand Teams, National Account Director/Managers (CAMs), Channel Management Director/Managers (NAMs), Area Business Leaders

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert strategies into actionable tasks. Link the activation strategies and tactical activities to objectives.

  • Develop and execute marketing programs with Corporate Accounts that strengthen our company's brand value over time, versus the competition.

  • Work in partnership with Corporate Account Managers to develop mutually beneficial programs and actionable solutions

  • Establish benchmarks and performance targets to measure the impact, effectiveness and efficiency of communications and programs in achieving objectives.

  • Deep understanding of our company's brand equities, how to use them, and build them consistently over time.

  • Responsible for reinforcement of brand standards in the field -- an ambassador of our company's brands.

  • Analyze consumer, customer, distributor and market information to develop initiatives.

  • Compile channel selling materials for sales team and distributors and provide sales teams with appropriate customer selling tools.

  • Collaborate with marketing peers and the broader organization to ensure linkage between strategies/customer plans.

  • Effectively utilize various research sources (primary and secondary) as well as first-hand experience to unlock key insights and opportunities with key customers and distributors.

  • Develop and deliver presentations.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Required:

  • 3+ years of marketing or customer-facing experience in the animal health and/or human pharma industries.

  • Ability to rapidly understand the opportunities and top customers. The candidate will then quickly convert that insight to sustainable strategies and action plans for growth.

  • Self-starter and independent thinker with ability to quickly react to dynamic and sometimes ambiguous situations.

  • Entrepreneurial approach to driving new business development with a strong results-driven commercial orientation.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (including strong presentation skills).

  • Strong project management skills, detail oriented and the ability to prioritize and multi-task against several complex projects at one time.

  • Thorough understanding of the product development/commercialization process.

  • Project Management – Ability to lead cross-functional project teams. Set clear logical project objectives, plans and timelines. Communicate progress and outcomes to project stakeholders.

  • Experience building selling materials for national accounts and/or local independent customers

  • Highly collaborative with strong team orientation. Ability to influence key stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with PC applications in the areas of Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Word. Excellent Power Point skills required.

Location and Travel

  • 50-75% Travel

  • Ability to travel to the home office in Rahway, NJ monthly

  • Expectation will be to travel in the field with our sales team quarterly, attend monthly and national meetings in various locations across the US

  • Must live in the United States with the ability to work on east coast time zone
