New York Life’s primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force of more than 12,000 agents, operating in virtually every major city in the United States. Every agent is affiliated with one of our General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales. Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations.
Our General Offices are divided among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing, and communications supports our agents and field managers. The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market and select cultural markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.
Role Overview
- Measure the impact of the Field Productivity Value Stream initiatives and incentives on key leading indicators (KLIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Data preparation and structure of data for analysis.
- Problem-solving skills to identify business opportunities and identify trends.
- Answer business questions using data and analytic techniques.
- Effectively communicate and document responses to new requests, project updates and questions to our internal business partners.
- Report on historical facts to key stakeholders to allow them to assess key trends.
- Framework, design and interpret data visualization and dashboards.
- Drive continuous improvement to analysis, projections, and capabilities across business teams in terms of processes and analytical framework.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Interprets business challenges, identifies trends and recommends best practices.
- Strong Business Partnering skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of teams across the organization.
- Clear, concise, and analytical written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication based on the intended audience.
Salary range: $90,000-$135,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
