Seeking a Front-End Architect to serve as the lead engineer on internal tooling and content management systems supporting the Topps Digital Collectibles sports and entertainment products. This position will be dedicated to building a best in class, next generation collectible content management system and other internal tools, while working on and maintaining existing products with the existing engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Major contributor in collecting requirements, planning, architecting, and developing next generation internal content creation tools.
  • Provide expert technical support to other team members as needed across the Fanatics/Topps Collectibles division, including back-end engineers, front-end engineers, testers, product managers, project managers, contractors, and content producers.
  • Develop a best-in-class collectible management system using a rich front end and developing REST APIs on the back end.
  • Assist with coordinating the effort of other engineers and team members for projects related to the collectible management system and other internal tools.
  • Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
  • Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity.
  • Communicate and work directly with Project Managers and Content Managers to understand their needs and transform those into a cohesive and unified product.
  • Implementing unit and integration tests in a test-driven development mindset.
  • Generate documentation about UI architecture, interactions and behaviors with REST APIs or any other mechanism to process data.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in building front end web applications.
  • Strong experience as a decision maker / architect of web applications.
  • Strong experience with single page web application frameworks like React, VueJS, or Angular.
  • Strong experience developing HTML, CSS, LESS, Javascript, Typescript, and using web frameworks like Bootstrap.
  • Strong experience designing and building intuitive user interfaces and experiences.
  • Proven working experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Working experience with component-based micro front-end design patterns.
  • Working experience with working with federated authentication, identify providers, SAML, and JWT.
  • Proven experience in working on a small to medium size team of engineers, content managers, project managers, and QA.
  • Understanding how to use GIT for source control management.
