Department Overview

In this position, you will be part of TASC’s Center for Health and Justice (CHJ), which provides training, technical assistance (TA), and research to inform public policy and advance evidence-based practice at the intersection of health and justice. CHJ partners with communities, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers across the country and offers solutions to improve communities’ health and safety.


 

We are currently looking for full-time – Special Projects Coordinator 

Starting at $50,000 - $55,000; contingent upon experience, education, etc.


Summary

The Program Coordinator of Special Projects will work with the Director of Special Projects to manage an assigned portfolio of activities related to CHJ’s consulting, training, and technical assistance across all of CHJ’s departments (Deflection, Health and Justice Initiatives, International, Research and Evaluation).

This position assists in the administrative and logistical management of CHJ’s consulting and training activities and provides support for business development functions. The Program Coordinator will communicate with both internal and external partners, agencies, consultants, trainers, and organizations. 

This position requires an understanding of grant and contract coordination, including budget management and program activity reporting, and the possession of skills necessary to complete specialized job responsibilities. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· 30% Coordinates, organizes, and performs activities related to CHJ special projects and business development activities:

o Providing planning and detailed coordination support for internal and external events, including outreach, correspondence, RSVP management, logistics, and follow-through.

o Facilitating the development of meeting agendas and materials.

o Responding to internal and external information requests, including ad hoc inquiries from potential customers/clients, funders, and partners.

· 30% Provides administrative support across CHJ Departments related to special projects and business development, and in limited cases, CHJ-wide activities:

o Assisting with scheduling meetings and preparing meeting materials.

o Coordinating travel guidelines and arrangements for staff, partners, and clients as needed.

o Capturing details and highlights of CHJ leadership meetings.

o Planning and executing CHJ’s monthly staff meetings, including logistics/tech setup for remote attendees.

o Coordination of weekly CHJ stand-up meetings, including updating the staff roster, and facilitating and sending reminders to those staff.

· 20% Grant and Budget Management related to special projects, business development, and other activities:

o Provides support for the administrative management of contracts, budgets, and invoicing for subawardees, consultants, and other TA events, including collecting necessary supporting documentation.

· 20% Programmatic Reporting related to special projects and business development

o Reports monthly, or more frequently as needed, on data related to CHJ’s consulting, training, and technical assistance activities as it relates to special projects and business development.

o Performs data entry and other administrative functions as needed.

· Through all work and while coordinating with partners, agencies, consultants, trainers, and organizations, the program coordinator ensures the professional and efficient representation of CHJ professionally, internally, and externally.
