Junior Software Engineer

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Software Engineer to join on our team in the Chantilly, VA area.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• ​​Building software and web development 

• ​Driving software design, development, integration, configuration management, transition planning, acceptance testing, and deployment activities. 

• ​Continuous Integration\Automated Testing\DevOps.​ 

Basic Qualifications: 

• ​​Experience with Agile software development experience Java\JEE, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, GitLab, ElasticSearch, Grafana, Kibana. 

• ​Experience with Web Development. 

• ​Experience with Cloud-based technologies (familiarity with AWS service offerings). 

• ​Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline. 

• ​Experience with designing and documenting microservice-based architectures. 

• ​Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases. 

• ​Experience with distributed systems (services and databases). 

• ​Experience with developing /debugging and/or testing of web applications and web services. 

• ​Experience with Test, Verification, and Deployment. 

• B.S. in a technical field with 2+ years of software engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a technical field with 0+ years of systems engineering experience.

Security Clearance Requirements: 

• An active and current ​TS/SCI w/ poly​ is required. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% 

• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. 

• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
