Transportation Business Partner

 

 

 

The Transportation Business Partner will play a pivotal role in developing, optimizing, and implementing transportation strategies, carrier management processes and solutions within assigned customers segment while driving cost efficiencies and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of transportation systems, carrier management, account management and customer management.

YOUR TASKS

• Act as the primary point of contact for all transport management topics for key customers.
• Work closely with clients to understand their transportation and supply chain needs.
• Support the setup of new transportation services with assigned customers.
• Analyze transportation requirements and develop tailored solutions to address customer-specific challenges.
• Work with transportation department to design end-to-end multimodal transportation models, including wide ranging from LTL, FTL, high security loads and parcel.
• Optimize network designs, route planning, and load consolidation to enhance efficiency.
• Build effective and efficient carrier management processes.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess carrier performance (e.g., on-time delivery, transit times, capacity utilization).
• Collaborate with carriers to secure adequate capacity for seasonal peaks, market fluctuations, and special projects.

YOUR PROFILE

• 4+ years of experience in transportation management, carrier management, or a related logistics role. Strong preference for someone who has transportation account management experience.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage various priorities simultaneously.
