The role:
SoFi is hiring an experienced senior project manager to join our operations transformation team and support our fraud initiatives. This Project Manager will support the development and implementation of the Fraud strategic roadmap, as well as design, plan, coordinate, and implement all Fraud Operations impacting projects (programs, policy, products, tools, and technology) to ensure Member Engagement teams are equipped with the most efficient tools, technology. The successful candidate will work directly with Risk, Operation Products, and Engineering to ensure projects fall within established timelines and scope. They will manage and direct the implementation of small to large projects that require the definition, development, delivery, and deployment of solutions that meet stakeholder needs and are compatible with business drivers.
What you’ll do:
- Strong ability to dissect business functions and identify opportunities to create value
- Bring strong subject matter knowledge to define project scope, facilitate requirements, and proactively identify and overcome project blockers.
- Drive projects across the end-to-end banking experience originations, fulfillment, and servicing experiences
- Manage/engage with multiple projects concurrently while addressing all project artifacts and operational readiness activities.
- Execute Project Management skills with rigor and discipline as the engine to drive stakeholders forward in a cohesive and collaborative manner while ensuring proper communication and accountability.
- Establish and conduct meetings to communicate expectations, project roles, and status updates, track open issues, and work with all groups and clients to resolve issues as required.
- Identify and manage project dependencies, risk mitigation, and critical path items and follow appropriate methodologies.
- Maintain excellent communication with all levels of management, be responsive to customers, and provide appropriate training and cross-training to other team members.
What you’ll need:
- The ideal candidate is highly organized an excellent communicator, and a strategic thinker who can execute in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarly with end-to-end banking and credit card experiences from originations, fulfillment, and servicing
- 5+ years of experience successfully in project management, management consulting, or operational management, preferably within financial services
- Proven track record of execution in a multi-disciplinary, high-paced environment
- Proficient with financial reports, business intelligence tools, and workflow design
- Robust interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead
- Ability to write and communicate clearly to internal stakeholders and vendors
- Capable of grasping and utilizing complex ideas and strategies
- PMP, CAPM, or SCM certification is preferred
- Vendor management experiences are a plus
