Handpiece Production Operator (38755)

Role Overview:

Will be responsible for building finished dental hygiene tools. It requires the use of multiple machined components and fixtures to assemble/inspect high quality dental equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Build rubber dam frames using a variety of machines
• Ship and receive frames from vendors
• Maintain inventory levels on ERP system
• Maintain IPI inspection sheets and maintain inventory records
• Make tips and form according to vendor specifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED is required
• Experience working in a fast pace, high change environment with limited supervision: self-starter
• Must be able to work under time and pressure, and be able to plan and accomplish goals in a variety of tasks
• Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
• Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing goals
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment
• Ability to use a butane torch
• Knowledge of ERP systems and aptitude to learn new software applications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk frequently during the shift. The position may require working extended hours or on weekends as needed. Incumbent may need to lift up to 25 lbs. on occasion.

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions.
