Job Description:
Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or for a complete line of business that may be regional or national in scope. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business units functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices.
The COO-Business Support Manager will be responsible for thinking critically and performing underlying analysis to inform the development and direction of Merrill National Business Development initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages multiple strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
- Partners with leadership to provide communications, resources, tools and reporting to lead and execute upon the business strategy
- Analyzes and synthesizes qualitative and quantitative information to help develop thoughtful recommendations supporting the evaluation of growth opportunities.
- Elevates key findings and recommendations in executive-level presentations.
- Assists with socialization and communication of resulting efforts across the organization.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, creates and delivers communications, meeting agendas and presentations.
- Prepares senior leaders with carefully curated and accurate meeting materials.
- Consults with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in strategy or business planning/management role.
- Expert level MS Power Point, strong MS Excel proficiency.
- Proactive, self-starter with high energy; ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to build strong relationships with partners and effectively navigate the organization.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and oral; ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into easy-to-understand and engaging executive presentations.
- Must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and compose findings into an executive-ready narrative.
- Critical thinking and strategic execution.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and effectively utilize independent judgment.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, demanding environment with a strong attention to detail.
- Must be organized and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable with navigating uncertainty or “the grey.”
